Logistics operation data released in January and February: logistics demand recovery accelerated

China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing today (29) released logistics operation data for the first two months of this year. The data showed that as the effect of stabilizing the economy policy continued to emerge, the recovery of logistics demand accelerated, and the total amount of logistics in many fields showed positive changes.

In the first two months of this year, China's total social logistics reached 53.5 trillion yuan, up 2.9 percent year on year. From the point of view of growth, although lower than the level of the same period last year, but compared with last December, still accelerated 1.4 percentage points, showing that the current logistics operation overall stable recovery, logistics demand scale gradually expanded.

From the perspective of demand structure, the differentiation is obvious. Specifically, from January to February, the total amount of industrial product logistics increased by 2.4% year on year. The steady recovery of basic industries has become an important basis for the stabilization of industrial logistics, and the logistics demand of steel, non-ferrous metal and other building materials related industries has improved. The recovery trend of industrial upgrading logistics demand is relatively obvious, and the total logistics growth rate of railway, ship and electrical machinery industries in the field of equipment manufacturing has accelerated.

In addition, driven by the recovery of domestic demand, the flow of imports has stopped falling. From January to February, the total import logistics increased by 7.8% year on year, the growth trend is more obvious.

In the area of livelihood logistics, it continues to recover, and e-commerce logistics continues to accelerate its recovery. From January to February, total unit and household goods logistics grew 3.2 percent year-on-year. Among them, the demand for e-commerce logistics is growing well, and the new type of logistics is continuing to recover and develop comprehensively.

In addition, affected by the complex international environment, the logistics demand of export-related fields was relatively weak, and the total logistics export of textile, automobile manufacturing, general equipment manufacturing and other industries declined. (Wang Shantao, CCTV Reporter)
